The details..

B-GL-321-006/FP-001, Combat Team Operations (Interim), is a publication from the Canadian Department of National Defense. This manual provides guidance for Land Force units conducting combat team training and operations using LAV II and Leopard C2 equipment.

The purpose of this document is to provide low level tactical knowledge that will help these units maximize their effectiveness in any given situation. The information contained within includes details on hasty attacks, obstacle breaching, defensive operations, delaying tactics and more.

This interim edition builds upon previous drafts as well as lessons learned from Mobile Automated Instrumentation Suite trials conducted at CFG Gagetown. All elements are closely scrutinized to determine whether or not they can be released publicly under Access To Information Act regulations.

In the near future there will be an Army wide review process coordinated by LFDTS which will take into account feedback regarding all aspects integrating and fighting with LAV III's and Leopard C2s. Following this process the manuals will then be produced as final editions.

Units are encouraged to submit observations directly either through normal channels or via Army Lessons Learned Centre or Directorate Of Army Doctrine so that improvements may be made before production of a finalized version.
